Video surveillance: the recorder range revised

The network recorders have a new interface — channels, recording schedule and access rights now sit in one place.

The recorders' menus have grown over the years. The revised interface gathers channel overview, recording schedule and user rights into three areas instead of spreading them across submenus.

For the installer this mostly means fewer clicks during commissioning: cameras are discovered on the network and assigned to channels in one step, and the recording schedule is shown as a week.

Existing units can be brought to the new interface by firmware update. Which models support this, and how to go about it, is documented in the Academy.
